Whether your systems sit on your own premises, in our data centre or across both, what matters is that the setup fits the way you work and not the other way round. What we run ourselves stands in an ISO 27001 certified data centre in Germany. Operation, maintenance and backup are our job.
Private cloud
Your systems run in an environment that only your company can reach. You share the computing power with nobody, and you decide how the environment is built.
Suited to businesses with strict data protection requirements, with rules specific to their sector, or with software that cannot easily be moved.
- Computing power and storage reserved for you alone
- Structure, permissions and backups to your specification
- Located in Germany, ISO 27001 certified
Public cloud
You add capacity at short notice and pay only for what you actually use. Nothing has to be invested up front, and a new environment is ready within a short time.
Suited when demand rises and falls, when a project needs resources quickly, or when you want to start without a long lead time.
- Raise capacity and scale it back again
- Payment for what is used rather than for what stands ready
- A new environment available within a short time
Hybrid: the two combined
In practice the middle way is often the right one. Sensitive data stays in the private cloud, everything else runs where it is cheaper and faster. Where exactly that line falls is something we work out with you, based on your applications.
What tends to be overlooked
A cloud does not make backups unnecessary. When someone deletes a file by mistake or ransomware gets in, the only thing that helps is a backup that sits elsewhere and that you can genuinely restore from. We test that regularly instead of assuming it.
The connection to the data centre matters just as much. When twenty workstations reach those systems over a narrow line, that line decides how fast people can work. We look at this beforehand rather than afterwards.
What we take on
We plan the environment, set it up and run it. Maintenance, monitoring and backup are part of that. You have one person who knows your setup instead of a hotline with a queue.
Talk to us. We will look at what you have and tell you which way pays off for you.
